More and more organizations are getting on the Corporate Web 2.0 bandwagon and seeking ways to transform their Corporate 1.0 cultures with various social media tools to create collaboration inside their businesses. The web 2.0 tools outlined in this presentation-- blogs, wikis, social networks -- have been used successfully by many companies to facilitate communication, secure information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration. Lessons learned are illustrated through three case studies of our own corporations (although names are scrubbed). |

Managing a project is a complex task and I am far from perfecting the process. However, Managing several projects in the past gave some perspective on the challenges involved in the various tasks around creating the project, getting buy-in from stakeholders, identifying and managing risks etc.
For me, there are two big types of projects: top-down or matrix.
Top-down: You are the manager of a project. The project has tasks, deliverables, deadlines and resources. You are personally in charge on the resources (people, budget ETC).
