I attended my last class session of my MBA last night. I’ll have to admit that it was bittersweet. On the one hand, I’m looking forward to having one (or more!) night/s a week spent at home with my family or friends, as opposed to reading cases, working on projects, etc. On the other hand, though, I really liked the entire process - all 32 months of it - because it taught me to or helped me think in new ways. I second that emotion!
Thanks to the MTIE Track, I was able to successfully transition from Publishing (digital) to a Product Marketing Manager position with a very profitable enterprise search company in Cambridge, MA. The competition was incredibly tough in this climate -- and even more so because I've built my career in publishing, which is difficult to translate into the high tech world. I credit my success to the excellent training and thinking abilities I've sharpened around high tech marketing and innovation to the MTIE Track. Also, I was able to showcase the project that Alan Belniak and I did (http://snproject.pbwiki.com) to help distinguish myself -- I really hope our classmates take advantage of www.babsonmtie.org to do the same with their work.
